Garage Floor Epoxy in Spring Valley, NV

Flake epoxy garage floors for Spring Valley homes and the wider Las Vegas valley. We grind the concrete, test it for moisture, fill the cracks, then build the coating in layers. Every price comes in writing first.

✓ Flake hides hairline cracks
✓ Across Clark County

Is your garage floor showing Vegas heat damage?

Most garage floors we look at have one of these six problems, often two. Some are plain wear. Others are a failed coating, or a kit that never stuck. Find yours below and mention it when you call.

Peeling under tires

Hot tires soften a thin coating, then grip and lift it as they cool. The classic sign of a kit floor.

Oil-soaked concrete

Bare slabs drink up oil and transmission fluid. No coating will hold there until the stained layer is ground out.

Dusty, chalky surface

Worn cement paste turns to powder and tracks into the house. Monsoon dust blowing under the door adds to it.

Hairline cracks

Common in older tract slabs. We fill static cracks as prep, and the flake broadcast hides the faint lines left.

White mineral spots

Hose and car-wash water dries on the slab and leaves hard-water spots. Valley water runs about 16 grains per gallon.

Bubbles and pinholes

Air escaping a warming slab through wet coating. It happens when a floor gets coated as the concrete heats up.

Why do garage floors wear out faster in the Las Vegas valley?

Heat. Tires. Age. In Las Vegas we see an average of 78 days a year reaching 100F or higher (NOAA 1991-2020 normals). In 2024 we had over 100 days above that! The heat of your tires after pulling in off the 215 on a July afternoon will soften any poor coating you may have. Age is also a factor. Approximately 54% of homes in Spring Valley were built between 1990 and 2009, so most garage slabs have years' worth of oil, tire marks and old sealer. We recommend a thorough preparation process: vacuum-shrouded diamond grinding, a moisture test and crack filling, followed by a 100% solids epoxy base, a full vinyl flake broadcast and a clear polyaspartic top coat.

How it works

From bare slab to parked car

1

Call or write

Tell us the garage size, what is on the floor now, and how you use the space. Photos of stains or peeling help a lot.

2

Slab check

We look at the concrete in person, test for moisture, note cracks and old coatings, and hand you a written estimate by the square foot.

3

Pick a date

We agree a day that suits you. In summer we plan around slab temperature, because heat shortens working time and speeds the cure.

4

Grind and coat

Grind, fill, base coat, flake, clear top coat. Dust goes into the vacuum as we work, and the driveway is left swept.

Compare systems

Which coating suits a Vegas garage?

Four systems go down on garage slabs here. Sun, cure speed and looks separate them.

Why us

What we do differently on garage slabs

Prep. Kit floors fail because they sit on smooth, etched or dirty concrete. We grind every garage to an open profile, test for moisture, and show you the reading before we coat. Locally owned.

  • Diamond grinding, never acid etch
  • A moisture test on every slab
  • Static cracks filled before coating
  • Full flake broadcast, no bald spots
  • Clear UV-stable top coat
  • Square-foot pricing in writing

Garage epoxy basics

For most owners, yes. A bare slab stains, sheds dust and shows every oil drip. A flake epoxy floor seals the concrete, hides minor pitting and wipes clean. It also makes a rental look cared for, which counts in a town where about half the homes are rented.
Three honest ones. Standard epoxy ambers in direct sun, so it needs a UV-stable top coat. It cures more slowly than polyaspartic. And it fails fast over poor prep or a damp slab. Grinding and a moisture test handle the last one.
Every time. After poor prep, moisture rising through the slab is what lifts coatings most. If the slab emits 3 pounds of vapor per 1,000 square feet per day or more, a moisture-mitigation primer goes down first, or we tell you to wait.
For a flake epoxy system, about $4 to $7 per square foot in the Las Vegas valley. Where your floor lands depends on slab condition, oil damage, crack repair, and whether an old coating has to be ground off first. We measure on site and put the per-foot number in writing.
Most of our garage work is in Spring Valley, from Rhodes Ranch to the streets off Spring Mountain Road. We also coat garages in Enterprise, Summerlin, Paradise, Henderson, North Las Vegas and the city of Las Vegas. If you are farther out, ask when you call.

Choosing and care

It depends on the garage. If the door stays open and sun lands on the floor, a polyaspartic or polyurea system holds its color better and cures faster. If the garage stays closed most of the day, epoxy under a clear UV-stable top coat does the job and usually costs less.
Clear everything off the floor and park outside the night before, so there are no fresh oil drips. We handle the degreasing, grinding and crack filling. Plan for the garage to stay out of use until the coating has cured.
Yes. A full garage system covers grinding, vacuuming, filling static cracks, the epoxy base, the vinyl flake broadcast and the clear top coat. Moving expansion joints are left open, not bridged. A cove base up the wall is an add-on, listed on the estimate.
That depends on prep, film thickness and tire heat. Most early failures we see are thin kit coatings on an etched slab. A ground slab, a thick 100%-solids base and a hard top coat give the floor its best shot at a long life.
Sweep or dust-mop the grit, especially after monsoon storms. Wash with water and a mild cleaner, then dry it so hard-water spots do not form. Wipe oil drips the same day; on a sealed floor they come right off.
